The Apple's team of self-driving automotive technology and systems has eight experienced and professional engineers,in which, Jamie Carlson is included. The presence of this team of experienced engineers in self-driving technology and systems has fuelled the skyrocketing rumor that Apple is up to developing a self-driving car. Experience records of Carlson at Tesla Company indicate that his main field of occupation at the firm was dealing with autopilot self-driving car program.
Apple has already started working on the self-driving car and is carrying out continuous research on self-driving technology in order to enhance their upcoming techbnology release, said sources. Further reports by state that a number of attempts have already been done to reach all the eight personnel on the engineering team; however, the breakthrough to the Apple's tech giant proved unsuccessful. Apple has as well declined to provide any comment with regards to this accusation.
The latest hire on the team before Carlson is Doug Betts, the former global quality leader at Fiat Chrysler. Reports indicate that Betts is highly experienced in automobile industry. Records show that he previously worked for Toyota and Nissan.
Palakkode and McClain, who are also members of the Apple engineering team, are experts in automated driving, whereas Tong is an engineer that develops vision software to aid in driving assistant systems.
Weber, on the other hand, is experienced in driver assistance systems that are video-based. Meanwhile, Masey is an expert in automated vehicles of Szumalis and Ford, wherein his specialty is in computer vision and object detection.
The project of Apple that is building a self-driving vehicle goes by the name "Project Titan," which is under an Apple veteran Steve Zadensky, Latin Post indicate.
