The upcoming 2015 Video Music Awards on Aug. 30 is gaining traction, especially with news that Justin Bieber is set to perform a new song from his record during the show. The Canadian pop star will share the stage with performers such as A$AP Rocky and Demi Lovato.

Justin Bieber is set to make a huge impression on his comeback by performing "What Do You Mean" for the first time on a live stage for this year's MTV Video Music Awards. "What Do You Mean" is the first song from Bieber's upcoming new record. "What Do You Mean" will be officially released on Aug. 28, just two days before the awards night that will serve as the perfect promotion for the single.

Bieber's performance on Sunday will be his first appearance at the awards show since 2010, when he performed a medley of "Baby," "U Smile," and "Somebody to Love."

Bieber, who is now 21 years of age, made an appearance at the Billboard Hot 100 Festival last weekend. It has been two years since the singer's last tour took place, and sang a couple of familiar songs for the entertained crowd at Billboard's yearly affair. Electronic act, Skrillex, joined Bieber on stage for a unique take on "Where Are U Now."

The yearly MTV extravaganza is billing to be one of the most entertaining, since Miley Cyrus has been selected to host. Cyrus made quite the VMA history, when the singer became infamous for her "twerking" shenanigans at the 2013 telecast.

Surprises await those who will tune in this year's affair. Pop elite, Taylor Swift, made an announcement that she will premiere the video of her new singe, "Wildest Dreams," during the telecast. Nick Jonas, on the other hand, will use this appearance in the show to debut a new song called "Levels."

Finally getting his slice of the limelight during the VMA's, Kanye West will be this year's recipient of the Video Vanguard Award. This year's event will be held at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and will also feature the R&B singer, The Weekend, who is set to perform his hit song, "Can't Feel My Face."
