(Photo : Reuters) Apple MacBook Air 2016 could be thinner and lighter than its predecessor the MacBook Air 2015.
Apple is anticipated to shake the laptop market when it unveils its affordable 2016 Apple Macbook Air by fall, which follows the release of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus in September.
The new model of Apple's 2016 MacBook Air will have a competitive market price of $899 and is poised to put competition on its toes when it is officially launched, possibly by October, Vine reported.

With very little information available on the upcoming release of 2016 MacBook Air, the likely introductory retail price for the new version is approximately $100 cheaper than its predecessor. The 2016 MacBook Air takes the record as being the lowest-priced Apple laptop in history, when it will become available in retail markets by March 2016.
The timeline for the 2016 MacBook Air's release is based on the previous release cycles that the Cupertino-based tech company has followed for their other laptop models - the Macbook Pro with Retina Display and the 2015 MacBook Air.
It is also rumored that the upcoming MacBook will incorporate the most recent Intel chipset - the Intel Core-M based Skylake processor - that will only start mass production by the fourth quarter of 2015, according to the Christian Post.
Eager consumers can also expect 2016 MacBook Air's screen display of 13-inch and 15-inch models, which is available with a thinner and lighter exterior design. The device will feature a USB Type-C port and Apple's latest retina display technology.
The retina display is geared at improving users' screen viewing experience, providing richer color and vibrant hues through a 178-degree viewing angle to enhance the display to its fullest.
It is also expected to be running Microsoft Windows 10 out of the box.
The standard model of the device is likely to have 4GB of RAM and a 128GB SSD storage, while the mid-range variant will offer 4GB of RAM but provides a larger 256GB of SSD space. On the other hand, the laptop's premium model is expected to have 8GB or RAM and 512GB of SSD space.
