A couple of short but very creepy promos of “American Horror Story: Hotel” were recently launched. The two releases are currently region-locked to North America only.

IGN reported that “American Horror Story: Hotel” is the fifth season in the series. Similar to its predecessors, there will be a number of familiar actors who will take on new roles in the story.

Kathy Bates and Chloe Sevigny will return. There will also be new cast members such as Max Greenfield and Lady Gaga. Sarah Paulson, Matt Bomer, Evan Peters, and Angela Bassett will also appear in the show.

Bomer previously shared his excitement about joining the cast of “American Horror Story”.

"Who wouldn't want to join AHS? I've loved the show from the get-go, and I'm a huge fan of horror and that brand of horror... It's a dream come true,” Bomer said in another report by IGN.

Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk will serve as co-creators of the upcoming season. They recently shared some details about the “Hotel” at San Diego Comic-Con. Some cast members revealed their character names as well. Bomer will take on the role of Donovan, Peters will play Mr. March, Paulson will play Hypodermic Sally and Bates will take on the role of Iris.

Entertainment Weekly wrote that Lady Gaga will play the mysterious Countess, described as a bisexual wealthy social doyenne, consumed with art, people, and fashion. She reportedly has a wicked plan that will unfold in the first episode. The Countess is also the owner of the titular Hotel Cortez, who lives on blood and sex. Bomer’s Donovan and Tristan (Finn Wittrock) are vampire-like beings who are also the Countess’s lovers. They do not have fangs but murder their victims with a chainmail glove with razor-sharp nails.

It was also revealed that “Hotel” will revisit the “Murder House” which was the main setting of “AHS” Season 1. The realtor, Marcy (Christine Estabrook), who sold the haunted house will also represent Hotel Cortez.

Compared to “American Horror Story: Freak Show” or Season 4, there will be no musical numbers in the upcoming season. However, a recent interview with Murphy reveals that the creators are contemplating having two seasons in one year. Speaking to EW, he said that the team currently has two different writers rooms and they are thinking of having a fall and spring AHS run.

“American Horror Story: Hotel” will launch on Oct. 7, 2015.
