The hugely popular "Lara Croft Tomb Raider" game series will be available on smartphones starting this month. The puzzle solving game will also be launched simultaneously across Windows and iOS devices.
According to iDigital Times, Square Enix has confirmed that it will officially launch the mobile version of the Lara Croft games on August 27 this year. In the twenty years that have gone by since the release of the original game, a lot has gone by and Lara Croft has garnered immense popularity becoming a recognised face in the domain of British computer games. In fact, the report also confirms that the game series was also adapted into multiple movies starring Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie and turned out to be big money spinners for the producers.

With the mobile version of the game, the makers are hoping to reach out to a greater audience. The smartphone users will be able to enjoy the game by investing a paltry sum of 5 dollars only, as is confirmed in the report. The game is expected to give users a new experience in exploring and being a part of puzzle solving scenarios that are extremely unique to this series. A review of the new game by IGN indicates that it has been inspired by the original "Tomb Raider" for PlayStation. For instance, the ring of cycling icons and other features in the start menu were present in the PlayStation game as well.
As is indicated in the iDigital Times report, the makers of "Lara Craft Go" are also the team behind "Hitman Go", another popular game series, adapted exclusively for smartphone users. Though not many details about the game have been revealed yet, it is understood that the game will take fans through the usual monster fights, traps, etc. competing with each other to solve the mystery.
Another report on Android Central confirmed that the game has a lot to offer with seventy five different levels that are guaranteed to keep the player engaged. All the levels are split into five chapters and there is a different puzzle to be solved in each chapter.
