LG G3 and G4 will receive Android M update instead of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. However, LG G2 will be left out of the Android M update.

It is a well known fact that LG completely skipped the Android Kitkat 4.4.4 update for most of its devices. If the latest rumors are to be believed, it seems that LG G4 and G3 will totally skip the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 upgrade. The rumor suggest that these devices will get a direct jump to Android M upgrade, according to Slash Gear

Hence, the owners of these devices will need to wait for a couple of months before they can get the brand new operating system in their devices, as per news reports by Soft Pedia. It is expected that Android Marshmallow will be released in the month of October this year, as per news reports by The Vine Report.

LG G4 is the latest flag ship phone under the brand of LG and it comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. This device along with many other smart phone devices is facing the bug known as Stage Fright. This bug attacks the phone via a video MMS and enables the hackers to get all the data of the user with just 1 click.

It is a very dangerous and malicious software as it can hamper the monetary and personal security of the smartphone users. Google worked really hard to fix this bug via the Android Lollipop 5.1.1 upgrade, which many devices are currently using. But unfortunately, the LG device owners will be relieved of this bug after a short wait only.

Google launched the statue for the upcoming Android Marshmallow at the Google Plex Mountain View in California on August 17. The people who made it to the event were given free hot chocolate and a chance to pose with the statue. The developer's version of Android M is already out.
