Android 6.0 Marshmallow is not part of any upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 update, according to reports.
Slashgear has recently posted a possible list of all Samsung devices that will receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, but unfortunately for Samsung Galaxy S5 users, the unit is not part of it. The list only includes Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6 variants, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 4 Duos, Galaxy Tab A and Galaxy Alpha.

Google is reportedly unveiling Android 6.0 Marshmallow within the third quarter of 2015.
Since its launch in January, Samsung Galaxy S5 has been plagued with a number of issues and bugs. Recognizing the need to address these the soonest, Samsung has promised to release regular system and Android updates.
The latest patch for Samsung Galaxy S5 Lollipop has brought mute mode to the quick settings menu - something that not all users fancy.
In the United States, several Samsung Galaxy S5 updates were introduced by the big four in the telecommunications industry. Last July, Sprint pushed a follow-up Lollipop patch that upgrades the unit's software to another version and places "Reaction Lock Updates".
Verizon, on the other hand, announced additional features to Samsung Galaxy S5: the GALAXY Apps store and Fingerprint scanning technology for Microsoft Exchange programs. T-Mobile S5 model sits on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and presented consumers with performance improvements and bug fixes.
The major Samsung carrier in the United States, AT&T surprisingly had only ATT Cares rollout, and nothing specific for Samsung Galaxy S5.
It can be remembered that Samsung anchored its hopes to revive its ailing mobile business to the launch of Galaxy S5. The launch of iPhone 6 in 2014 upset the South Korean tech giant to its core. Reuters reported that as a way to bounce back, Samsung introduced Galaxy S6 models packed with more powerful processors bred and raised on its in-house semiconductor enterprise.
This could also explain why tremendous focus has shifted to Galaxy S6, and last gen models are going to be left out sitting on Android Lollipop.
