"Destiny: The Taken King" is set to hit store shelves on September 15, but the game is unlikely to run with Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles due to system requirements, according to the official Destiny website.

The game requires at least 10GB of memory on Xbox 360 and 20GB for PS3 during installation. Xbox 360 and PS3 players are advised to either upgrade their hard disk or the entire console. On the other hand, Xbox One and PS4 owners have no problem since most of the game releases nowadays are optimized for the latest gen consoles.
This major expansion of "Destiny" was first revealed by Bungie during the E3 2015 event, getting ahead of possible leaks that could surface in the Internet.
"Destiny: The Taken King" comes in two editions: Legendary Edition and Collector's Edition.
The Legendary Edition is recommended for first time players and existing Guardians that would like to become legend in the Destiny universe. This pack comes with the original disc, Expansion I ("The Dark Below") and Expansion II ("House of Wolves").
The Collector's Edition contains all expansions plus the following: modified treasure island book with introductory note from Cayde-6, Cayde-6 personal illustrations and letters, strange coin replica and a wide collection of relics and artifacts.
"Destiny: The Taken King" is set to be the biggest gameplay that will hit "Destiny" realm.
"It is a journey that we hope players and their friends are going to remember," Creative Director Smith said in an interview with Game Informer. "We're really excited about it, and we think it will raise the stakes again for what the raid team is asked to deliver next time. It's big."
While waiting for "Destiny: The Taken King" to arrive, players were treated to a recent update by way of a new playable Strike and a whole new suite of endgame activities. The "Destiny" team is also encouraging fans to assemble at the upcoming PAX 2015 for meet and greet sessions.
One of the most successful franchises in the gaming history, "Destiny" has reached over 16 million registered users early this year. According to GameSpot, the game is played almost three hours on an average daily.
"Destiny: The Taken King" is now available for pre-order in the United States and United Kingdom.
