To make a recap of the brands that is planning to use the software, Moto G is said to have made the decision to adapt the Android 5.1.1 lollipop update on its 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation devices as well as their Moto E 2013 and 2014 issues. Moto G users under Verizon have already received the update as well as those under T-Mobile who as early as April released the update. As for the Samsung update, the brand has made immense adjustment during the implementation of the Android 5.0 software because of its inability to offer a battery efficient feature. According to Sammobile, while the battery issues have been blamed on Samsung's inability to produce better battery specs, they expected the updates to integrate apps that would give a break on the battery usage.
Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 has been a recipient of the Android 5.1.1 lollipop update and its feature of battery saving mode has enabled the Note 5 to surpass its predecessor's stance on battery saving applications. We can only conclude that the latest of the Android software did miracles for Samsung in terms of battery issues.
According to the VCPost, the Android 5.1.1 lollipop update has been staging bug fixes particularly on Galaxy S5, S6 and S6 Edge as well as the Note 4. AT&T has been slow about releasing the software, but with T-Mobile introducing it ahead of time, other carriers promised to have the latest Android update the soonest. Other features of the software include advanced calling and an option to disable motion based wallpapers.
