ABC's hit weekly series "Once Upon A Time" will be back this Sept. Its fifth season will have a new character who will be one of the main cast. This new main character is the red-haired Merida of "Brave." The shooting of the new season began on July 8.

According to International Business Times, Amy Manson will be playing Merida. The only time she learned archery was after she accepted the role for Merida.  In the "Brave" movie, Merida searched for Merlin, while in the ABC hit series, she will be helping the enchanted creatures to fight Emma Swan, who transformed into being the new Dark One.

VC Post was able to present a special video from the creators of the series to their fans who have been waiting to have more information on what will happen on season 5.

The short clip showed an archery practice of a girl in a long, blue cloak. She hits bull's eye when she released her arrow. The second time she releases an arrow, her aim was too precise that it manages to split the first arrow into two. Satisfied with her archery practice, the lady removes her hood, showing off he curly red hair. She is the Scottish princess from Disney / Pixar's 2012 "Brave" movie, Princess Merida.

There were other reports that said Emma and Regina might possibly have a switch in roles. The former evil queen has decided to be one of the good guys of the show. The role of Regina will be to help Emma find her goodness once more.

Whether Merlin will be crossing paths with Merida in the fifth season of "Once Upon a Time" is still unreported. However, there are already some hints on the possibility of including Merlin in the show. It is also unsure if Merida will be leaving the enchanted forest to be in Storybrooke.

Other new characters who will make the storyline more interesting are Sir Lionel, Guinevere, and King Arthur.
