The report also advises users that when they decide to download the updated ROM, their devices should be hooked on to a stable Wi-Fi network. Additionally, in order to check whether or not the update is available on their device, users are instructed to go the "Updater" app on their mobiles and check. Also, the devices that support the update come with two link options: Fastboot and Recovery. Lastly, all users are advised to take a back-up of their media files before initiating the update.
Meanwhile, the report also points out that MIU7 already includes XXL Text, Child Mode, Baby Album, Showtime, integrated Opera Max's data saving technology and sleep detection along with a host of other awesome features. In its official statement, the Xiaomi Global Office said that they would continue to release beta version updates, once in every two weeks, on a Monday, before 7 pm Beijing time. The team added that this was being done to optimise the Global Beta program.
Another report on Times of India, warns users saying that since the operating system is still in beta version it is likely to possess bugs and may need some more fine tuning. The report also goes on to compare MIU7 with its predecessor claiming that the latter is shown to have 30 percent better response while launching apps and a 10 percent better battery life.
