From this summer's blockbuster movie, fans were introduced to a few new Marvel characters never seen before in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
There's the Maximoff Twins, Pietro and Wanda, known also Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. The other crucial new character is Vision, the product of merging Ultron's "perfect body" project and J.A.R.V.I.S. aka Tony Stark's A.I.
Bettany details the intricacies of playing the role in the featurette to be included in the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" Blu-Ray/DVD. It shows how the actor was transformed into the Vision through his elaborate costume and talented make-up crew. ComicBook.com transcribed the video as Bettany explains the process.
"The makeup is actually amazingly quick I think for what is accomplished. It's about an hour-and-a-half," Bettany says. "And then there is a robot-muscle suit that goes on. I wear a cooling-suit, that has piping that goes all around me and they plug it and ice water runs through it. It keeps me cool."
Watch how Bettany's face and body were altered to become the Vision in this special featurette from "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth's Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released in 3D Digital and Digital HD on Sept. 8 and to 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, Digital SD and VOD on Oct. 2.
