Disturbed's new song "The Vengeful One" online music video advertisement for their new album "Immortalized" has been withdrawn by the band's record label Warner Bros. owing to the resemblance of it to the recent on-air shooting of a TV news reporter and cameraman last Wednesday.

The music video for the band's new song "The Vengeful One" included scenes in which a dark hooded ghostly man with a devilish grin on his face (officially named as "The Guy", who is Disturbed's mascot) shoots robotic human TV news reporters while broadcasting at a TV station. According to the band's vocalist, David Draiman, "The Guy" in the video is the punisher of all the sinners in the world and acted as God's will. David stated that in the music video, the world is at it's worst condition where people are becoming immoral and the media is pitting people against each other. It was the time to end all the evil ways of humankind through The Guy's punishment.

The TV news reporter and the cameraman who was with her were Alison Parker, 24 and Adam Ward, 27 of WDBJ7 broadcast center. The partners were broadcasting a morning interview with the Smith Mountain Lake Chamber Director, Vicki Gardner at Bridgewater Plaza in Moneta, Virginia when former WDBJ colleague, Vester Flanagan suddenly shot Alison and Adam with his gun. The moment of the shooting was unintentionally caught in the broadcast.

Vester also recorded the whole event with his phone while killing Parker and Ward and posted the 56-second video to his Facebook and Twitter accounts which were suspended after he was suspected in the crime. Moments after posting his video online, Flanagan took his life.

According to reports, Disturbed never intended to promote violence against the media or anyone and were simply trying to change the world's ways with their music.
