Call of Duty: Black Ops III has launched a contest for fans in order for them to be zombified within the game's many zombie character models and win different kinds of prizes. The contest's other purpose for its establishment is to raise charity funds for the many military veterans who have finished their service for their country through the donation that is required by the contest in order for the participants to win.

In the promotional video for the contest, many celebrities are shown auditioning for a zombie role for the downloadable content of the upcoming first-person shooter game Call of Duty: Black Ops III. James Hetfield of Metallica and M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold who are both vocalists of their metal band, are amongst the many celebrities trying out for the audition. It was pretty awesome seeing both of them in the video doing funny stunts, which also makes it hilarious.
The video was published online by the charity organization Omaze in order to help the main organization that started the charity campaign, which is the Call of Duty Endowment, promote the contest. Both Omaze and Call of Duty Endowment are nonprofit organizations which had held many kinds of charitable campaigns numerous times already.
People can enter the contest by donating different amounts of dollars to the organizations. And through their donations, they can have a set amount of chance (depending on the amount of their donation) of being chosen to be zombified by the developers of the game and also have their name "immortalized" within a Zombies Level of the DLC of the game. After being zombified, the winner will also be able to tour the Treyarch Studios in a behind-the-scenes style. In addition to being zombified, the winner can also receive different types of prizes depending on the amount of their donation. Lastly, the winner will stay at 4-star hotel and have their expenses covered by the company.
By donating money to the organization, military veterans that come home will be helped towards getting themselves ready to start new careers. Every $1000 earned through the donations is equivalent to 1 veteran being able to get employed for a decent job.
