The 35-year-old opted to wear a traditional ivory wedding gown for her big day. The lace dress was sleeveless and featured sheer detailing. She paired the dress with a long trailing veil.
The bride kept her makeup simple. She wore her long blonde tresses loose over her shoulders with waves. Her hair was kept center parted. Purdy's makeup consisted of some mascara, eyeliner and a slick of dark pink lipstick.
The former "Amazing Race" contestants exchanged Neil Lane rings for their outdoor ceremony. "We felt it was just finally time to come together and make a commitment to each other," Purdy - who announced her engagement to Gale in May.
Gale popped the question to his sweetheart on the beach in Puerto Rico during a romantic getaway. "Yes was the answer!!!!!!! Couldn't be happier and more proud to be engaged to the love of my life @amypurdygurl!" Gale shared on Instagram. "What an amazing journey it's been and what an exciting future we have. Love you so much! XO."
At the 2015 ESPY Awards held in July, the snowboarder said that she had a wedding date picked out, but her wedding dress was still not decided. She teased fans and said that Love for Lemons was doing some of the dresses. Besides, she said she was doing a mixture of dresses, different designers for the bridesmaids dresses.
Purdy added that she did not want to have a lavish wedding, but just a simple and outdoor ceremony. For a small wedding, they needed to elope.
The double amputee said that her wedding was very bohemian with rustic settings. All the people who had some importance in the couple's lives were invited for the wedding, like their mutual friends and whoever had supported them. Purdy and Gale have been dating for the last 13 years.
