Stefan and Caroline will share the typical adventures of the blood thirsty world of the show, while still keeping the element of love alive. However, Caroline Dries who is the executive producer of the show has revealed that Caroline (Candice Accola) won't be jumping into a relationship with Stefan and things might get weird before the two hit the love spark.

Caroline Dries said that the fun side of season 7 will be that feeling which keeps two people guessing about where they stand with their relationship. It's like they are friends, while they are not just friends to be exact. To put it simply, they will have to face obstacles before they actually pull up an intense love story. The show runners and writers have also revealed that their love story will not be a typical boring drama and will have a spark of intensity and adventure once they kick off to a new level (having already confessed their feelings for each other).

A main reason behind Caroline taking time to enter into an intense relationship will be the aftermaths of the trauma that she faced recently. The death of her mother is still afresh and she is still finding it hard to face this truth. Accola, in a recent interview with TV Fanatic has said that she would struggle maintaining her friendship with Stefan, but she would find it even hard to resist her feelings for him. Season 7 will actually give a glimpse of how long the relationship is going to last and would keep the fans guessing.
