The 'Last One Standing' star has been commended for his acting skills in the 2008 production. His final scene wherein he was sitting in a prison cell with paralyzed legs, flashing a sinister smile at the camera, has caught the attention of the public.
Netizens have deemed the actor's creepy performance as exceptional and spine-tingling. However, Roger Kwok still thinks that Matt Ko is a better actor with his dangerous and unpredictable roles.
Matt Ko is translating the role of a physically disabled lawyer who in turn becomes a manipulative murderer who is pretending to be kind. Matt Ko's character was not only meticulous, but also has a very superb IQ and EQ.
In the drama, he manipulates people by merely using words. After his character becomes involved in a robbery case, he has no plans to be on the side of justice anymore and doesn't hesitate to kill anyone who stands on his way.
The actor's character is supposedly able to kill people while sitting on his wheelchair, but he had insisted to keep it a secret as to how his character achieves that.
Matt Ko has stated that people should just watch it for themselves since he couldn't spoil it for the benefit of the crew and scriptwriters. He has shared though how difficult it was to maneuver a wheelchair and had been practicing for his role.
Roger Kwok has termed the character as someone who is very fake. He has revealed that it was a challenge to play such a person as it exhibits a very difficult inner consciousness. The actor said that in order to play the role, he must be able to control his dark side since he also has to portray someone who is very kind.
The actor has expressed mixed emotions about his upcoming role, stating that he was scared and happy at the same time about it. Roger Kwok has hoped that it would be memorable to the public.
