Avalanche Studios is set to release vehicular combat "Mad Max" for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on September 1.

"Set in the post-apocalyptic future, the trailer provides a glimpse into the desperate struggle Max faces after losing it all - his family, his car, his sanity - and the steps he must take to survive in the harsh and desolate Wasteland," Avalanche Studios wrote in April.

As in the movie, "Mad Max" video game will place grizzled fighter Max at the helm of control of the ultimate survival vehicle Magnus Ops.

The third person video game will run at 1080 on Xbox One and PS4. This and map details were recently confirmed by Senior Producer John Fuller with Gamingbolt.

"There are no finite limits to the map... in other words, there is no 'one side'," he said when asked how long it'll take to traverse the map. "You can continue driving into The Big Nothing until you get bored or killed."

Fuller also stressed that the technical support has been enormous for the game since balancing density of content and travel distances have become their topmost priorities. These elements are critical to exuding real-life feels for the gamers.

Basing it on the gameplay, "Mad Max" is expected to be massive both in terms of content and geography.

To celebrate the launch of "Mad Max", Microsoft is going to release a limited edition Xbox One console. However, there would only one unit of the rustic-looking Xbox One, and it will be given to a lucky commenter of this blog.

The game comes with a $59.99 tag price. A special edition package would include "Mad Max: Fury Road" on Blu-Ray, bonus downloadable content (DLC) and mini license plate.

The video game is inspired by the movie with the same title. In May, "Mad Max: Fury Road" starring Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy, amassed nearly $400 million in worldwide box office.
