A North Carolina woman found Nazi symbol branded on her McDonald's bun after she ordered the fast food chain's chicken sandwich at a drive thru in Morehead City.
After finding the swastika burned on her food as she was putting mayonnaise on her chicken sandwich last week, Charleigh Matice became an unsatisfied customer.

Clearly incredulous to what she experienced, Matice told ABC News how awful she felt about the symbol. She cited that many people have died because of it and that it is no laughing matter.
The Huffington Post reported that the incident was particularly offensive to the North Carolina mother because her grandfather was a World War II veteran.
She had refused to accept a replacement sandwich from McDonald's and had requested for a refund instead. The disgruntled Morehead woman then reported the incident to the McDonald's main office.
Two months ago, a Mississippi family reported that a crew at Kentucky Fried Chicken had been criticizing their disfigured daughter, but later apologized after it was proven that the incident was all made up.
On the other hand, the swastika bun incident in Morehead City had been proven true after investigations were made. McDonald's declared had taken necessary actions against those involved.
The franchise owner Dulcy Purcell of the particular McDonald's branch apologized to Matice and had explained that the employee responsible for the stunt had been laid off.
Purcell clarified that McDonald's has zero tolerance for such behavior. In addition, their branch has always aimed to provide the best possible service for their customers.
The North Carolina mother later accepted Purcell's apology and stated that she would still eat at the fast food chain in the future.
