Nokia has launched a mobile phone that doesn't need an internet service.
Microsoft-owned Nokia unveiled the Nokia 130 priced at only US$25. The phone is primarily aimed at emerging markets in Africa and the Middle East.
Nokia 130 comes with a dual-SIM card and a 1.8-inch LCD display.

It doesn't have internet capabilities and that explains the low price.
The low-end mobile phone is optimized for playing music and videos. It has up to 46 hours of music playback time and 16 hours of video playback.
Users can store music and videos locally on the device using an SD card.
Nokia 130 is expandable up to 32 GB. It also features an FM radio channel and a flashlight.
Microsoft phone unit VP Jo Harlow said the company understands it's essential to persuade customers in developing markets specially Africa to turn to Nokia and Microsoft.
"Microsoft doesn't have any other project that can reach these consumers," Harlow added.
He said these customers will create and become part of the Microsoft ecosystem.
This is the same logic Microsoft used when it launched the short-lived Nokia X lineup of cheaper smartphones that ran a custom version of Android.
Aside from Africa and Middle East, the Nokia 130 will be available in a few European countries.
Microsoft hasn't yet said when the phone will be on sale.
