After a long wait, China-Hong Kong director Roy Chow is finally ready for the rendition of Wong Fei Hung's new generation legend 'Rise of the Legend', releasing the first trailer to the film at a press conference the cast has held in Beijing last August 10.

The press conference last August 10 was to commemorate the release of the film's trailer. The event was attended by Taiwanese actor Eddie Peng, who will be playing the role of the young Wong Fei Hung, the lead character in the movie.

The story of 'Rise of the Legend' revolves around the life of the young Wong Fei Hung before he became the legendary martial artist everyone knows about.

Eddie Peng said that the character he will be playing is a hero, also sharing his thoughts about people who have dreams. "Whether these dreams are big or small, everyone sitting here today should have their own dreams," the actor said.

The character of Wong Fei Hung is supposedly a selfless person, who shares his dreams with everyone and even going to the extent of going through the motions of sacrificing his romance and friendship in order to posses his dream which is to give the world hope.

Eddie Peng was said to have worked out and trained rigorously for his role, even shaving his head for the character. He has trained under a martial artist master and practiced for 10 hours a day despite the high temperature.

The Taiwanese actor has received praises from the director for his hard work. Roy Chow even stated that he can't see the character of Wong Fei Hung being played by any other actor.

The director has expressed that the actors will be training in such a manner in order to live up to the characters that will be played in the movie. It is a way to give reverence to the classic Wong Fei Hung films.

'Rise of the Legend' also features Angelbaby, Wang Luodan, Jing Boran, Max Zhang and Sammo Hung. The film is scheduled for release in November 2014.
