Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has reportedly rented out a new suburban house in New York, a couple of yards away from the property that his estranged wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their two children are occupying.

The singer has been said to move into a Hamptons mansion owned by Los Angeles Lakers manager Mitch Kupchak.

According to the New York Post, the luxurious home is  merely a "few blocks and a short walk" away from the property that Paltrow is staying in for the summer along with 10-year-old Apple and eight-year-old Moses.

This is not the first time that the couple has sparked up rumors about their reconciliation in the past weeks. The British musician and the Oscar-winning actress have been spotted many times with each other in the New York resort as well as in restaurants with no other than their children.

Martin and Paltrow were also seen, engaged in a pleasant conversation with their friends, at the premiere of actor Simon Pegg's film "Hector And the Search for Hapiness".

While it was believed that Paltrow only came to the event with her mother Blythe Danner, the Coldplay frontman had also been spotted coming out from the theater. After the premiere, the couple was headed to the after party at Wainscott's Serena and Lily Beach Market.

The two have also enjoyed cozy outings close to their family property in Malibu, California.

An insider for the New York Post claimed that Martin and Paltrow have been spending more time these days than they did when they were still a romantic couple.

"When they are out together, all they do is laugh and act flirty and playful", the source said.

Meanwhile, the actress has written a post on her lifestyle website GOOP and acknowledged her "misguided belief" of pursuing perfection in life, which has consequently brought her to the wrong direction.

"It has made me, at times, place value on the wrong things. It has made me not listen to my true self for fear that I would somehow fail in another's eyes", Paltrow wrote.
