Prosecutors have charged Miami Heat center Greg Oden with domestic battery after he allegedly punched his ex-girlfriend in the face.
Reports said Christina Green was found lying and bleeding on the sofa in the home of Oden's mother in Lawrence. She sustained a broken nose and needed three stitches on her face.

Oden was arrested early Monday morning that day at his mother's suburban home in Lawrence, Indiana. He was scheduled to face a judge on Tuesday.
"Things got out of control," recalled the Heat center. "I started to go after Christina. My mother and [her friend] tried to hold me back, but I swung my arms to move them out of the way and then punched Christina in the face. I was wrong, and I know what has to happen."
Green purportedly denied the incident, but a friend told authorities Oden punched her. Apparently, the couple and a friend had been out at a club the night prior to the incident and Oden has had too much alcohol to drink.
Oden faces a six-year imprisonment, according to an ESPN legal analyst. But having no previous record, he may walk away on probation, the expert told the Associated Press.
Oden started his career with the Portland Trail Blazers, who drafted him at the top of the class of 2007. He had injury problems early on his career.
He last played for the Miami Heat.
