Trusted Reviews points out that in the new version, players will be able to enjoy a lot of the elements of the original game and still see the change through the perspective of a child. As part of role play, the players will be seen making some difficult choices including facing the death of their near and dear ones. While scavenging for supplies is not the primary responsibility, fixing the shelter and maintaining facilities so that the survivors can live is of utmost importance for each player. Basically, each player is given the responsibility of building their camp as a potential hideout.
The report also confirms that the game has been inspired by 1992-96 Siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War. During its original launch, the game managed to recover all of its development cost in just two days. The game is developed by 11 Bit Studios which is also known to do a lot of charity work through its sale proceeds.
