(Photo : REUTERS/Kevin Bartram) A student has been killed and another injured following a shooting at Sacramento City College.
A gunman, who opened fire at the parking lot of Sacramento City College during a fist fight, is still on the run. The shooting left one student dead and two others injured.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. close to a baseball field near the school's campus. It began as a simple quarrel between a few male students. However, the situation became fatal when someone pulled out a gun.

The area where the shooting occurred is surrounded by a chain of restaurants, strip malls and a golf course on the other side.
Sacramento police who responded to the incident said one student was pronounced dead at the scene while another was transported to the hospital. The other was only grazed by the bullet and did not sustain serious injuries.
Although spokesman Rick Brewer admits that all three victims were students, authorities of Sacramento City College have not yet released the names of the male students involved in the incident.
The identity of the gunman, who the police are hunting for, has not also been released. However, reports indicate that he used a semi-auto pistol in the shooting. He was reportedly wearing cargo shorts, a white T- shirt and is of Pacific Island decent.
At the moment it is also unclear if the gunman was a student of the Sacramento community college or if he had any ties with the college.
Police locked down the college after arriving at the scene, clearance was given for staff and students to be able to go home four hours later. Authorities searched all buildings before given clearance and spokeswoman Traci Trapani told reporters that the shooting was an "isolated incident" not a gunman on the loose.
Although evening classes were canceled Thursday, school resumed normally on Friday.
Police are still searching for the gunman and the case is under investigation.
