Miami Heat rookie and No. 10 draft pick Justise Winslow plans to become a rotation player knowing he will likely to have a small role due to his team's depth.

The Heat will have the services of a healthy Chris Bosh, a re-signed Dwyane Wade, Hassan Whiteside, Goran Dragic, Amar'e Stoudemire, Gerald Green, and Josh McRoberts.

With that kind of lineup, the Heat is considered  second best team in the Eastern Conference after the Cleveland  Cavaliers.

Winslow feels he is glad he joined a team that has the tools to win the championship and not one that is on a rebuilding stage.

There may be limited playing time for Winslow, but he believes he could fit in within the team environment, according to Boston Globe.

The 19-year-old is looking forward to getting it all together with their core and finding ways to complement them.

The 6-6 Winslow said he could impact the team in so many ways like being aggressive regardless on how many minutes he is given.

He credits the team's winning culture to team president Pat Riley.

Meanwhile, it was reported by Miami Herald that the Heat is figuring out how to maximize Winslow's potential.

During Summer League, Winslow exhibited good defense, deft ball-handling and an ability to beat his man off the dribble. However, they feel that his jump shot needed work.

Winslow believes coach Erik Spoelstra will give him some ball-handling duties, which the rookie describes as either "playing a lot of point" or "playing a lot with the ball in my hands."

While he was projected to be picked by fifth overall by the Orlando Magic in June's NBA Draft, he unexpectedly ended up in the laps of the Heat .

As Winslow was slipping in the draft order, the Boston Celtics tried to trade up to get a shot at  him and offered four first-round picks to the Charlotte Hornets for the ninth selection, Miami Herald noted.

The Celtics coveted Winslow because offensive upside on top of his defensive potential at small forward.

While the Hornets rejected the offer, they didn't do so to pick Winslow and eventually took Frank Kaminsky.

The Heat, owning the 10th pick, took the former Duke standout.
