The duo was seen hanging out quite often ever since they met at the Met Gala this May. They were rumored to be a couple for months. They were seen flirting, partying together and also vacationing in Barbados. Last month, reports were that things are going well for the two. However, an insider denied the report and said that Rihanna was not ready for any serious commitment.

The rumors were not addressed by Rihanna or Hamilton themselves. At the MTV video music awards, Lewis Hamilton finally put fans and media out of their misery. And sadly his response to the question was that they were not together. In fact, they were just hanging out as pals.

"You know, I've known Ri for a long time. We've been friends for a while. We get to hang out every now and again...," stated Hamilton.

So this story turned out to be a dead end. Nevertheless, nothing keeps rumors from emerging. While some fans must be disappointed not seeing Nicole Scherzinger's ex and Rihanna together, some have other hopes for the gal. Rihanna and ex boyfriend Chris Brown had been quite an item but they broke up. There are rumors that they have rekindled.
