The anticipation of having celebrities in the front row of the runway will now end, as it has been confirmed that Australian designers are invited to sit in front row during this year's New York Fashion Week.
Sabo Skirt, Nadz and Sabs and When Freddie Met Lilly are among the Australian designers who are expected to 'wow' the fashion followers this year. These Australian designers are hoping to take their clothing lines to the next level.
Celebrities like Carrie Underwood and Lauren Conrad will debut their clothing line at NYFW this week. Designers have been preparing their team of models and collections for the fashion week. The fashion designer, Dion Lee had his team ready for this event including his castings and clothings.
"We're a new brand in the market and in terms of building relationships with agencies - it takes time. We are only able to confirm models close to the show date so it doesn't leave much time to alter the collection," Lee said in DailyTelegraph.
While Lee has been ready for the event, Vallance had to admit that she had to work harder in order to get her investment back. She have just returned from her one year break from designing.
"It's largely to do with the Australia dollar and it means we have to work so much harder to get a return on investment. Our business has grown 270 per cent over the last 12 months and showing internationally gives us the exposure we're looking for," Vallance said.
Givenchy will be giving away more than 800 free tickets to fashionistas who wants to see what's new in the fashion world. The staff of New York Fashion Week said that they will make sure that the even will run smoothly and safely for fashion followers who will be attending the event.
