A member of the international military alliance NATO, along with three Afghan police officers, were killed on Tuesday during a roadside bombing attack in eastern Afghanistan, the Washington Post reported.
Deputy police Chief Asadullha Ensafi said in a statement that the three police officers were killed when their patrol car ran over a bomb hidden on the side of the road in Bahrami Shadid district in southern Gazni province.

The statement added that the explosion also wounded a fourth policeman.
Ensaf blamed the Taliban for the bombing, but no group has taken credit for the attack.
NATO's main purpose in Afghanistan is to help the Afghan forces to effectively safeguard the country.
Beginning in 2003, International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) led by NATO has been organizing several security maneuvers while teaching and improving the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF).
The responsibility of assuring the safety of Afghanistan and its citizens will be fully transferred on the ANSF by the end of 2014, when the ISAF have fully prepared the Afghan forces in dealing with terror groups.
All overseas military troops that were deployed to Afghanistan will be extracted by the end of 2014.
However, after 2014, NATO is still expected to supervise training missions on new ANSF and will assist in the long-term continuation of the Afghan group.
