"Final Fantasy XIV" has reached an incredible milestone after it reached 5 million registered users.

According to the Venture Capitalist Post, the efforts made by Square Enix to rebuild the game and make the necessary revisions and overhauls have paid back. They also gained immense support when they launched their massive multi-player online, something that most gamers enjoy playing because of its team-based gaming concept. One of the main reasons why they think the game soared high is because of their expansion pack, which is the "Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward" that actually put their mark on the scene.

In February 2015, the "Final Fantasy XIV" has already surpassed the four million mark according to Gamespot.

"Heavensward," on the other hand, contributed to the numbers that gave the "FFXIV" passed the five million mark. Amazingly, the number does not include those who have registered for free trials, meaning the "Final Fantasy 14" is gaining incredible number of following. Prior to the revamped, Square Enix has to let go of the subscription fees to the game because of its bad shape. The free subscription went on as the development continued.  Because of its subpar concept, Square Enix believed it totally ruined the "Final Fantasy" brand and that they have to let go of the current team working on it.

In 2013, "Final Fantasy XIV" has been renamed and labeled "A Realm Reborn" before it went back to its original title, clearly bouncing back from its less than impressive performance.

According to Destructoid, the game's massive multi-player online feature was launched for PlayStation 4, wherein, they first laid their expansion - "Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward." The game has famously put its name against Blizzard's "World of Warcrafts" which gained a total of 5.6 million registered users. Having said that, the two competing video games are both on the receiving end of endless statistics, wherein "Final Fantasy XIV" is expected to raise more numbers, while Blizzard's "World of Warcrafts" loses its momentum and registered the lowest decline in subscriptions since it started in 2005.
