It was reported last month that Motorola is planning to upgrade 17 devices under its hood before the big release of Android Marshmallow 6.0 hits on October. This update will also address the major issue of the Stage Fright bug, which is plaguing many flag ship devices in recent times.

This bug makes the Android device very vulnerable to hackers' attacks. The hackers can easily get the information of any user if the user opens the plagued video MMS. This issue will be resolved once and for all with Android Lollipop 5.1.1 update, The Neuro Gadget reported.

Apart from fixing bugs, the upgrade will also incorporate improvements in the material design of the device, giving the look and feel a total revamp. The animations will become more fluid and there will be more options for themes and widgets. The user experience for the device will be increased by manifold.

The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upgrade will enable the device to switch the contents like settings and apps, and also a much enhanced NFC feature. The syncing ability of the device will be enhanced ten folds. The users can sync their Android device with any other Android device, and also any smart gadget, like a smart TV, or a smart car gadget.

Other devices under Motorola that are expected to grab the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop upgrade in the near future are Moto G 2013, Moto G 2014, Moto X 2-13, Moto X 2014, and all the DROID devices. Moto X style and Moto X play will be equipped with this upgrade out of the box.
