Microsoft Shows Off at Gamescom 2014

Microsoft previewed new games and features of its consoles during its press briefings held at the ongoing Gamescom 2014 in Cologne, Germany,
Microsoft focused on the Xbox exclusive games. It also announced the much-awaited updates and sequels to its prominent games on its Xbox One systems.

The tech giant also reported that independent game developers will also produce numerous games for the console.
A few of the new games such as "Quantum Break," "Evolve," "Forza Horizon 2" and "Fable Legends" were announced at the conference and their gameplay was previewed.
"Fable Legends," the multi-player role-playing game announced during Gamescom 2013, will have a beta version available on Oct. 16.
Microsoft intends September to be the release month for "Forza Horizon 2" for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
"Halo 5: Guardians" will be released by the end of the year, exclusively on Xbox One.
A sequel to the action-adventure game "Tomb Raider" is set to launch in late 2015 and will be exclusive to Xbox consoles.
For its consoles, Microsoft announced new features such a new "Friends" section that lets the user stay up-to-date with their friends with similar consoles.
A new "Snap Center" in the console will allow players to switch back and forth between titles, friends, achievements and messages. Other new features include a Stream TV, Boot-to-TV and an Xbox One Digital TV Tuner.
The computer company also announced it's preparing to launch the console in 29 more countries over the next few weeks.
While Microsoft was busy showing off its new catalogue of games and features, Sony also announced a couple of new features for the PlayStation 4.
The new features include uploading saved videos directly to YouTube, the ability to search for PlayStation Network subscribers using their real name and SharePlay.
