Taiwanese suppliers of Apple, Inc. have started to assemble new iPads in time for the lucrative holiday season.

Apple is now working to fire up sales of tablet computers after experiencing falling sales for two consecutive quarters.

Analysts said the mass production of the new full-sized 9.7-inch iPad is now on going. The new iPad is expected to launch this fall.

In progress as well is the new-generation iPad Mini with a 7.9-inch display. Apple will launch the product by the end of 2014.

Foxconn and Pegatron, Taiwan-based manufacturers and suppliers of Apple products, have been hiring a lot of laborers, said the report. Both are hiring hundreds of new workers every day.

It's not yet clear, however, if these workers will be made to assemble the iPad or iPhone. Early this month, Foxconn and Pegatron started to mass-produce the 4.7-inch Apple handset.

Apple's timing is essential since they are preparing to launch new products for the coming holiday season.

The company will launch the iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch display. Along with these devices, a health-oriented watch-like device is also in line for launching.

The California-based company will hold an event on September 9 to unveil the latest edition iPhone.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said their partnership with IBM could be of help in boosting the sales of Apple devices. Apple and IBM recently became partners to produce an iOS device equipped with enhanced IBM software.

Apple is hopeful of increasing its sales with the new products to be launched over the coming holidays.
