After Queen Elizabeth II stepped a major milestone of becoming Britain's longest-reigning monarch in history on Wednesday, she will not be stepping down for Kate Middleton and Prince William. Rumors that Queen Elizabeth was to pass the throne to Middleton and the Prince in April 2016 have been disapproved.

A source said, "The idea of having Charles step aside for the good of the monarchy had been whispered about but they never believed it would happen. It's been a tough pill to swallow for Charles. He's spent his whole life waiting to succeed his mother. He initially flew into a rage, ranting that the crown is rightfully his. But then he began to see her way of thinking," a magazine reported.

However, the magazine's reports have been lately invalidated by the current turn of events.

According to Hollywood life, Middleton and Prince William were overwhelmed and "stunned" by Queen Elizabeth's decision that Middleton even called her parents on the instant that she found out about the Queen's decision. The reports of Queen Elizabeth's decision were allegedly confirmed by a representative of the Buckingham palace.

The palace representative, who is said to have been a senior person in the palace, said "Life means life." Considering the words that Queen Elizabeth swore when taking the throne, then it only means that the Queen is not ready to renounce her throne.

Meanwhile, Middleton, who has been in a maternity leave, plans to resume her royal duties on September 17. It was the second maternity leave since Prince George was born in July 2013, Gossip Cop confirmed.

Even as everyone is astounded by the 89-year-old Queen Elizabeth's decision, Middleton and Prince William remain in their royal duties until the Queen changes her mind. For now, Queen Elizabeth remains the longest-serving monarch in Britain at the throne.
