According to a report in Singularity Hub, Japan will be hosting the next Olympics in Tokyo and with it, they intend to launch the first robot Olympics.
Early this year, Japan stunned the entire world into a mixture of amazement and disbelief after selling in Amazon a mega bot named, Kuratas. Techtimes reported that the said mega bot was developed by a team of Japanese blacksmiths from Suidobashi Heavy Industry. The team was led by a visionary robotic genius, Kogoro Kurata.
A few months ago, MegaBots Inc. challenges Japan into giant robot duel. This challenge was answered eagerly by the Suidobashi Heavy Industry, a report from the Daily Mail said.
MegaBots Inc. launched a 500K dollar Kikstarter campaign to fund the development and improvement of its own mega bot. This mega robot will be used in the gigantic robot duel they threw on Japan.
The US MegaBot team acknowledged the importance of melee combat. Thus, the team is currently pushing for upends in the melee capabilities. The team went gain pledge supports, they gave top supporters a chance to ride the mega bot, use its weapons and do some punching bag training.
The team has currently succeeded in reaching the $500K Kickstarter goal, more than that pledges exceeded their expectation. The MegaBots Inc.'s giant robot was named MK. II.
MegaBots Inc. claimed that in order for MK. II to dominate the hand-to-hand combat the team must focus on the following areas.
* Enhanced heavy duty armor platings.
* Additional Firepower.
* Enhanced hydraulic systems to accommodate the added weight on the add-ons.
* Enhanced mobility.
* Enhance power supply to match with the hydraulic system and the mobility.
To fully upgrade the Mk. II the teams needs 1.5 million dollars to fund for the upgrade.
Piloting the gigantic robot in a duel can be dangerous. The MegaBots team everything into making the Mk. II a perfect fighting machine. Any minor mishaps could result to becoming a national disgrace or even death, at worst.
The robot duel is scheduled on the Robot Month of July in 2016.
