Japan, the leading technology and electronics maker, will release Sharp's 8K television to the market in October.
At first, there was 1080p, and then 4K followed. Now, this 8K TV contains a resolution of 7,680 pixels by 4,320 pixels. It is also called "Super Hi-Vision" that is incredibly 16 times better than that of today's high-definition sets and even better than most movie theaters that people have gone to.

However, the latest creation of Sharp will only have limited sales, according to Computer World. It is because these new TVs are only offered first to video production companies and TV broadcasters. These will go on sale on October 30 but Sharp has not announced the price yet.
It has been said by Nikkei, a Japanese newspaper, that the TV would cost about $125,000. Well, that much cannot be put on sale for the ordinary people yet.
It is said that the newest TV model has been a broader push by Japanese companies merely to ramp up the quality of broadcast of the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
On the other hand, the extraordinary TVs are only one part of the equation because the whole pipe line behind it must also have an upgrade. For example, the computers that process and store the videos, the cameras that film the content, and the transmission systems that would bring to homes and businesses.
NHK, a Japanese public broadcaster, has already ordered this new model because it would begin test broadcast next year just in time for the 2020 Olympic Games. As it is, the broadcaster has already collaborated with IT companies and equipment makers to have a steady year-to-year progress of the system.
The new sets will be produced in the state-of-the-art Kameyama factory that would help save some money by scale production. Then in 2018, 8K TVs are going to be expected by clients.
