Real Madrid recently took to the field against Sevilla in the UEFA Supercup match, with a lineup comprising of perhaps the most expensive starting 11 in football history.
Their lineup - and each player's salaries - consisted of international superstars including: Cristiano Ronaldo (€96M), Karim Benzema (€30M), Gareth Bale (€100M), Toni Kroos (€30M), James Rodriguez (€80M), Luka Modric (€33M), Fábio Coentrão (€33M), Sergio Ramos (€27M), Pepe (€30M), Daniel Carvajal (€7M), and Iker Casillas (undisclosed), bringing the total lineup to a whopping €466M.

Head Coach Carlo Ancelotti has put togeter an expensive lineup. However, as billionaire Warren Buffet once said, "Price is what you pay. Value is what you get."
The Spanish super-club took to the pitch against Sevilla and showed off their skills. Kroos and Modric distributed the ball well, giving the team chances to score.
However, it wasn't until the 30-minute mark that they scored their first goal, with Bale sending a deep cross for Ronaldo to tap in.
The Portuguese struck gold again with just four minutes after the beginning of the second half. After a through ball from Benzema, Ronaldo showed great control - tapping the ball out of range with one touch - before being able to put it away, giving his team a comfortable lead.
While Sevilla remained defiant and pressured the rally constantly, they were unable to push past the opposition's defense.
After the game, Ancelotti stated that, "an important cycle can start here, as we have a squad of real quality. I am lucky to be coach of a fantastic squad. It is clear we have to work a lot and make sacrifices but the possibilities are there to do big things and compete in all competitions."
It is still unclear whether this costly lineup lives up to be the best in the league. However, for the night, Real Madrid took home the win with a final score of 2-0.
