Google has new phones and they will be named as Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. These phones will arrive at the end of this month.
According to The Verge, no one knows yet why Google chose to put a letter X at the end of the one phone and a letter P on the other phone or rather than using a consistent naming scheme, like 5X and 6X. Google reportedly tapped both LG and Huawei for their own smartphones.

A new version of Nexus 5X is made by LG and has a fingerprint sensor on the back just beneath a protruding camera. It has a 5.2-inch display. Whereas Nexus 6P, under Huawei, has a large camera strip sticking out of the phone’s back. It has 6-inch display.
It should not be confused with the Nexus 6 made by Motorola. Huawei has been using the letter P as their flagships. It also avoids the confusion of similar pronunciation between 6X and 6S. There are obviously continuations of Google’s Nexus 5 and 6 lines but only appear as name sequels only.
There are leaked photos of two devices that look very different both from their predecessors and one another. Both phones, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, will be launched alongside a new Chromecast, which might have better WiFi connection and a feature of Fast Play, at an event on Sept. 29 in San Francisco.
The pair will also be launched with the latest verson of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, which was originally shown off at Google’s annual I/O conference in May.
There is always a chance that things can change between today and each phone’s announcement as reported by Droid Life. The source told Droid Life that the codenames of bullhead and angler are indeed accurate because these confirms the leak for the LG Nexus 5X and for the Huawei Nexus 6P.
