A group of scientists at Washington University published a study on Wednesday revealing that they have successfully linked two human brains through a guessing game. Researchers believe that such human capacity can revolutionize how people pass information or communicate with each other.
UW Today reported that the details of the brain linking experiment is now available in the Wednesday issue of the PLOS ONE journal.

Head researcher Andrea Stocco said the study on human brain linking is currently the most ambitious experiment that has ever been undertaken in the field. The scientist said that the study needs at least two people for the experiment to work. Both subjects used the Internet to send their brain signals to one another.
In the experiment, the first test subject, who is known as the "respondent," is required to wear an electroencephalography device (EEG), which is connected to the respondent's cap.
The first test subject is presented with a drawing of a certain item or animal.
The second subject, who is called the "inquirer," views several objects and its related questions. He will then send a question online and the respondent's response will only be yes or no. To relay his answer, the respondent will need to focus on the two LED lights that suddenly lights up at various frequencies.
The answers will be relayed through the Internet. The inquirer will know that an answer has been given through magnetic coil which is located at the at the back of his head.
A 'yes' answer can create stimuli and allow the inquirer to witness "phosphene," which can be described as a flashing light. Phosphene's appearance has been described as a thin line, a simple blob or even waves.
To make sure that the participants will not cheat their way in the tests, the partners are separated by more than one and a half kilometer. Both will stay in a dark room for the duration of the experiment.
The game itself is in a question and answer format where the inquirer must finish the game by guessing the identity of the object or animal.
The scientists said that at least three people out of four hvae correctly guessed the answer. Researchers explained that the inquirer may have incorrectly guessed the answer because he is not sure if he has seen the phosphene appearing or not.
