According to The Jerusalem Post, during the United Nations Assembly in New York, Rouhani said that it was a big test for having the historic nuclear deal between the U.S. and Iran and that it was important to make an atmosphere of trust between the two nations.
Rouhani referred as well to the detention of many Iranians in the U.S. and also the Americans in Iran as the latter hold those Americans with dual Iranian and U.S. citizenship. Thus, the two nations can move forward by freeing their respective prisoners.
In line with this conflict, the U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry, will try to launch an initiative to resolve the conflict within Syria by talking first to the Iranian counterpart. This could bring the allies, Russia, Turkey, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, together that support the current Syrian regime.
The Russian military build-up just this month to support Syrian's President, Bashar Al-Assad, and the refugee crisis that has led to wave after wave of migrants going to Europe have lent the urgency attempts of resolving the Syrian conflict---to stop it finally.
Ending the war in Syria is going to be a great effort for Kerry to get an important negotiation as Iran is willing to sit down with the oppositions. At it is, the latter is going to eventually play a major role in reaching a political breakthrough, Reuters stated.
In addition, it is a common knowledge that Iran and Russia are part of a coalition that would take on other militant groups and most importantly, the Islamic State, which has tore the country apart and sent the Syrians to foreign European countries.
