Xi Urges Every Nation To Promote World Peace And Development In The 21st Century

President Xi Jinping took the floor at the annual high-level debate of the UN General Assembly, 70th session, held on Sept. 28, Monday. Xi spoke and presented China's views on the current world situation and proposals for peace and development in the world.
According to an online publication London South East, the leader of 'superpower' China encouraged every nation to make a stand and let its voice be heard especially in world affairs, including the small and the poor.

"The big, strong and rich should not bully the small, weak and poor," Xi emphasized as he tried to call for a system of international diplomacy that sets to be worked on multilateralism and mutual respect. The president of the world's second-largest economy initiated a discussion as to how the strategies of solving these crises and strengthening relationships tend to bring "win-win" outcomes to concerned parties.
Advancing to multilateral cooperation, Xi announced that China intends to establish a 10-year China-UN peace and development fund amounting to 1 billion dollars. As he pertained to the goals the organization such as peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy and freedom, he also believed that all these "are far from being achieved" yet, not at this time.
The president is focused on the promotion of the international community to build partnership - treating each other equally and mutually engaged between and among intercontinental consultations and understanding.
Moreover, he urged every member to revive and rekindle its commitment as every nation aligns its objectives and principles in accordance to the UN Charter. With this, he is optimistic that international relations will improve utmost cooperation and create a "community of common destiny for mankind".
And according to a Xinhua News, the audience applauded Xi particularly when he called for safeguarding the interests of developing countries and pledged financial, human resources support for underdeveloped nations and global development.
He further explained that China is willing to partake and share in this endeavor hoping that certain developed countries would also fulfill their social, economical and historical obligations to aid "developing countries mitigate and adapt to climate change".
