It was yet another day for the commuters in the subway until they saw something that left them like a deer caught in headlights. Some of the commuters grasped their cell phones to capture the magical moment of the gay couple, which they later posted on social media websites.

When the man knelt down, his partner was over the moon. The man proposing to his boyfriend said, "Today I invite all the people we know and do not know to bear witness."

Many among the crowd felt steamed up about the incident and shouted "sin" / "disgust" to express their aversion. However, the love of the couple was too obsequious to get discouraged with the remarks.

The man accepted the proposal and they embraced each other in the train.

One of the commuters, Bai Yiyan Vina, uploaded the video and commented "As usual, I was taking the subway home, but contrary to what I was expecting, I encountered a couple's love... I think this is really incredible," according to BBC reports.

Thousands have been talking about the video in social media. Despite gay marriage still not legalized in China, it is interesting to note that the Chinese social media Weibo has majority users supporting the incident.

According to Towleroad reports many social media made remarks like "Those who say this is disgusting, you are not qualified to judge others," and "You should admire their courage. Just because they are people you don't understand, and even with the pressures of those looking down on them as 'sinful', they are still brave to express their love."

Bravo to this couple for showcasing an offbeat example of love and courage.
