(Photo : Youtube) On Sep. 28, Monday, NASA announced the discovery of water on the Red Planet.
Just early this week, the booming announcement of the United States Space Agency (NASA) regarding evidence of water in Mars that was found by the mission made headlines.
According to Yahoo Finance, the mysterious dark streaks that lined the inner and outer faces of craters on the Red Planet's surface turn out to be evidence of water in Mars, which could be as long as a football field.

It is said that the streaks are actually evidence of flowing water that the size of it changes over time's most probable theory is that Mars has longer warm summer months and that the size shrinks because of the colder seasons.
The photos showed by Yahoo concluded that liquid water is discovered that can be seen there as a proof, which has never been seen before.
Moreover, the NASA's satellite, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO), was used as to confirm this discovery. The instrument onboard MRO, spectrometer, scanned the Marian surface and identified the chemical makeup of what was down there on the Red Planet.
The research team has identified hydrated salts, and the frozen salt water could thaw into liquid at lower temperatures that is important because of the hottest days on Mars that could only reach 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
However, it is still a mystery whether the streaks themselves are indeed flowing water or simply a result of it. And yet, the water plays a vital role in the formation of the said streaks.
Moreover, according to Singularity Hub, strange streaks on the Red Planet have already been noticed in 2011, which only appeared as downhill smears and also appeared on the walls of craters. For years, the research team can see the streaks called "recurring slope lineae" only depended on the season and temperature of the planet.
Therefore, here are the meanings about the presence of water in Mars:
* The Red Planet is presently more habitable that originally thought.
* The water could become future travelers' resource to drink.
* The salty water's ingredients are like that ones in rocket fuel.
* The water can be a guide for future exploration both for robots and humans.
This discovery is therefore one more step toward Mars for humankind to be able to survive there.
