It was on Sept. 21 when a man was shocked to hear whimpers apparently coming from a sidewalk in Voronezh, Russia.

After asking around, the man learnt that the sidewalk in Voronezh had a huge hole which was left open for weeks and oftentimes, children and animals would play there.

The man was horrified. He immediately notified the public utilities department in the area. Failed to take any help from the workers, he decided to open the pit himself and eventually found out the reason for whimpers.

He opened the pit and to his shock found a dog. A pregnant dog sneaked into it -- thinking that the hole would make a nice cozy den for its pups.

It can be so that when the workers came to fix the hole, they either missed the dog or did not really care to take it out.

Watch how the man freed the dog from the horrible confinement. This act of humanity will surely touch your heart.

However, the online world believes that the man is the owner of the dog.
