Hong Kong-American star Daniel Wu has been rumored to be quitting show business recently, but the actor has already stepped forward, stating that he has no intention to leave showbiz whatsoever.

In May this year, the actor's mother had been diagnosed with colon cancer and has come back from the USA together with his wife Lisa and daughter Raven. The actor's family presumably came back in order to spend time with Daniel Wu's mother.
Daniel Wu was said to have given up his own management agency Revolution Talent Management Ltd which is his business together with entertainment magnate Peter Lam. The two have decided to shut down their operations last May.
The actor, being the filial son he was, flew to the USA and has stopped attending promotional activities on the movies he was featured in. This was during the time when his mother was sick.
His mother passed away shortly in late May and the family has decided to hold the funeral in the USA. Since then, Daniel Wu has never returned to Hong Kong.
The actor reportedly wanted his daughter Raven, now one year old, to receive education in the US. Other reports said that he will be leaving the entertainment industry in order to keep his 80-year old father's company.
Others have speculated that since the actor has a knack for developing his own money-making businesses, he will be leaving show business in order for him to concentrate more on his other businesses.
On the 39-year old actor's Weibo post, the actor stated that he loved acting directing and has never really thought of living the entertainment industry. Other than that, the actor assured his supporters that his family is doing fine and everything is back to how it used to be.
