TVB actor Ruco Chan turns out to be a car enthusiast, officially joining an auto racing team which will compete on an international race.

Ruco Chan attended the Hong Kong Aviation Club's Greater China Cup autograph ceremony held in Kowloon City. The Hong Kong actor was photographed wearing black and yellow sports gear while leaning against a yellow race car.

The 37-year old actor is also going to fly to Malaysia in order to participate in an international race competition there along with his team mates.

During the event, the organizers have arranged for Ruco Chan to board a helicopter in order for the actor to see a bird's eyes view of Hong Kong. The actor has been excited about this part of his tour, claiming that he has never tried boarding such a helicopter before.

The actor was said to have gone over Discovery Bay and Peng Chau for the first time. They've also gone to see the entirety of Victoria harbor as well as Hong Kong Island. Ruco Chan seemed to have a lot of fun during his helicopter ride.

Ruco Chan was praised by the executive of the Lotus racing team, the team the actor joined, for maintaining a healthy and fit image. The executive said he is confident that the actor would be able to get the attention of female demographics to come and see the auto racing events in Malaysia on August 15.

The actor has revealed that he had been training for a month in Guangzhou and has even gotten his racing license for the event. The actor also gave hints as to how much money he was earning with his contract with the race team. The actor claimed that it was of a seven-digit sum worth of insurance.

Ruco Chan has spoken about accidents that could happen in the race as well, stating that car racing isn't altogether that dangerous as long as one has the proper knowledge regarding the sport.

He has also emphasized that following the rules is of utmost importance.
