PlayStation 4 home console is having a price cut of $50 as the retailer's website ads indicate that the system now is pricing it at $349.99. The game console was originally worth $399.99 as Sony released the system way back November 2013.
According to Destructoid, Sony has not yet issued any official announcements regarding the price drop for the West. However, such price cut just took effect in Japan days ago, where the company's Asian wing lowered its valuation from ¥39,980 to ¥34,980 on Oct. 1.

Apparently, Sony announced such move at Tokyo Game Show in Japan. Many participants of the said show including Xbox boss Phil Spencer, believed that North America and Europe would soon be following Japan's lead.
"I fully expect they will drop price. When I think about the playbook they've used in the past... we feel good about the plans we have in place going forward in the holiday. If history tells, then we'll see a price drop from them coming," Spencer said.
If Sony is really up to such PS4's price drop, then they are most likely to reveal such news during their press conference at Paris Games Week to be held on Tuesday, Oct. 27.
According to Softpedia, the company Microsoft has been anticipating a price cut for the Sony device for a few weeks. The PlayStation 4 is leading on this when it comes to sales compared to Xbox.
Thus, Microsoft is planning to introduce a wide range of bundles for the Xbox One, which titles include Rise of the Tomb Raider, Kinect Sports Rival, and many others. Microsoft also aimed to deliver huge marketing pushes for the coming Halo 5: Guardians.
Giving up Sony's PlayStation 4 console, which has been on the market for a couple years now, seems to be like only a matter of time before the company finally shifts to the new price.
