A grand piano once owned by Elvis Presley and a Beatles drum skin will be auctioned on November 7, according to an announcement made by the auctioneers on Monday. Memorabilia from these Rock and Roll icons are still very popular among collectors.

Julien's Auction House estimates that Elvis' grand piano can fetch $500,000 or more.

Elvis Presley reportedly bought the grand piano as a present for his mother. Later on, Priscilla, Elvis' wife, changed the piano's initial walnut color to gold to mark their first wedding anniversary. The auction house claims Elvis used to play the grand piano at the Graceland Mansion.

Fans can still see Elvis' grand piano in Tennessee at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville before it is auctioned off. The anonymous owner expects to receive almost a million dollars for his Elvis memento.

Meanwhile, the auctioneers are yet to put a value on the Beatles' drum skin. The drum skin was reportedly used by Beatles drummer Ringo Star when the band played live on American television in 1964. Rock and Roll historians believe that almost 75 million people watched the Beatles performance on "The Ed Sullivan Show."

The drum skin traveled with the Beatles during their performance in the United States including the one in the country's capital and Carnegie Hall in New York city.

The drum skin was in the possession of Beatles band manager Mal Evans. It was then sold to a Beatles collector after Evans died.

The auction house spokesperson explained that only the drum skin is being auction - excluding the rest of the drum set. What makes the drum skin difficult to price is the uniqueness of the Beatles band logo on it. In particular, the letter "T", which is never been duplicated again in later logos.

The most expensive memorabilia sold in the U.S. history is the "subway dress" used by Marilyn Monroe in the movie "The Seven Year Itch" sixty years ago. It was auctioned and sold four year ago for almost $5 million.
