Wallace Huo Plays an Immortal in ‘The Journey of Flower’

Taiwanese actor Wallace Huo turns into a handsome immortal in the fantasy-wuxia drama 'The Journey of Flower' which also features Chinese actress Zhao Liying, who will play the role of his student.

'The Journey of Flower' is based on a well-known online novel that goes with the same title. The story revolves around Hua Qiangu who is an orphan and is considered bad luck. In turn, she was named 'thousand bones'.

In order for her to escape the fate of being chased by demons subsequent to her father's death, Hua Qiangu decides to be the disciple of an immortal name Bai Zihua and become his only student. Eventually, as she journeys with her master to help the needy, she then falls for him despite being ironically gentle yet heartless mentor.

The character of Huw Qiangu will be played by Zhao Liying while Wallace Huo will be translating the character of the deity Bai Zihua.

'The Journey of Flower' has been the object of interest of potential buyers from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korean, Singapore and Thailand. The production team has then chosen to release a short teaser in order to give their audience an idea of what the drama will turn out to be and what it is all about.

The production team has released two versions of the preview clip, one being in Mandarin and the other in English voice dub. The Chinese names mixed with the English dialogue did sound awkward, but the translations were proper. Speculations say that the video could pave way to the globalization of mainland China dramas.

Tang Lijun, the producer of the drama, said that despite the release of the teaser, it is not considered official since the production isn't even halfway done and they are still currently filming the drama. The producer said that the official trailer of 'The Journey of Flower' will be released in October in lieu of the TV Festival de Cannes.
