In September, National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Earth Observatory has released a nighttime image of the international border between Pakistan and India. The port city of Karachi is the bright cluster of lights that is facing the Arabian Sea that looks completely black.

The border between the two countries can be viewed as the orange perimeter, which is surrounded by lots of dots and large clusters of yellow.

Out of 3,300 kilometers of the border, 2,000 kilometers are floodlit. These data came from the Indian government that spends a big amount of diesel and electricity for the lights.

It is magical to watch the Indus River Valley that gives a Christmas tree-like appearance, which is also noted by Mangalore Diary. Several cities are also visible.

As for another image, around the area of New Delhi, the city lights are also lit, and Himalaya appears as off-white with Srinagar having a spot of yellow color. Its entire scenario would be vegetable green during daytime.

Meanwhile, the Radcliffe Line comes between the two nuclear-armed nations. In 1947, it was established when the two nations were formed, and both of them have several troops posted all along the border's length.

The photo has been naturally cropped to enhance and project better contrast as the ISS National Lab takes photos of the planet to benefit both the public and the scientists.

The picture that is featured on NASA's Facebook page obtained over 70K likes and shared over by users more than 15K times.
